Dr. P. Barbry (PhD) is the Director of The Institute of Molecular & Cellular Pharmacology
(IPMC, CNRS and University of Nice-Sophia-Antipolis), located in the High Technology Centre of
Sophia-Antipolis (110 scientists and 40 staff people organized in 16 autonomous teams) and the
coordinator of the French Transcriptome programme. With a strong background in physiology,
bioinformatics and transcriptome research, he has developed a unique bioinformatics and
Transcriptome facility producing public pangenomic or dedicated micro arrays.

Dr. Bernard Mari (PhD) is a Senior scientist in the group of "Physiological Genomics" directed
by Dr Pascal Barbry at IPMC. He leads the "lung
cancer and
microRNA"
group and has a strong background in
proteases-mediated cell activation,
cell signaling, apoptosis, tumour-stroma interaction,
microRNA and trancriptomic studies.

K. Le Brigand (IR CNRS) is bio-informatician and the main developer of Mediante project.
|
 |
K. Robbe (PstD) is bio-informatician.
|
CNRS grants access to microRNA
tools including a universal microRNA
microarray that is covering all known
microRNA in animals associated
with several bioinformatics tools dedicated for prediction of novel
microRNA and targets
identification (access).

Developed as a J2EE three-tier application, Mediante integrates a management system for production of long oligonucleotide microarrays, an experimental data repository suitable for home made or commercial microarrays, and a user interface dedicated to the management of microarrays projects. Several tools allow quality control of hybridizations and submission of validated data to public repositories. Availability : http://www.microarray.fr.
